Drug maker Lupin Ltd is recalling greater than 18,000 bottles of an antibiotic drug used to deal with bacterial infections from the US market.


Lupin Prescribed drugs Inc, the US unit of the Indian firm, is recalling the drug because of a “grievance obtained of metallic piece recognized within the product bottle previous to the reconstitution,” in accordance with info on the US Meals and Drug Administration, or USFDA, web site.



The drug, cefdinir for oral suspension, has been manufactured by Lupin’s Mandideep manufacturing facility in central India.
